ProfessionalQuality Scans with Fine Detail

With a 6400 dpi optical resolution, 6400 x 9600 dpi scan resolution, and 48-bit colour depth, the Epson V850 enables you tocapture fine details and accurately reproduces the colour of your originals. The scanner also has a 4.0 DmaxOptical Density rating which allows for incredibly smooth gradations and shadow detail.

Quick Scanning Process

With the Perfection V850 Pro Scanner, you can start scanning almost immediately, thanks to the ReadyScan LED. The scanner can be warmed up and ready in less than a second. The V850 is able to scan a colour A4 sized print in about 12 seconds, while a 35mm negative can be scanned at 4800 dpi in about a minute.

Dual Lens Scanning System

Using Epson’s exclusive Dual Lens System, the Perfection V850 scanner automatically selects which lens to use based on the type of media being scanned. When scanning reflective photos, a 4800 dpi optical resolution lens is selected. When scanning film via the film holders, a 6400 dpi lens is selected. This intelligent system ensures that you get the best results each time.

Digital ICE Technologies

The Epson V850’s built in Digital ICE Technologiesgoes a step further by automatically removing surface defects like dust, hair, scratches, and fingerprints from the original material being scanned. This greatly reduces the amount of time required for digital retouching.

Scanning Area and Built-In Transparency Unit

The scanner has a maximum scanning area of 21.6 x 29.7 cm and a 20.3 x 25.4 cm built-in transparency unit which comes in handy when scanning film.With the Perfection V850 you can scan film, negatives and slides in batches to increase your productivity.

Eight Film Holders

Included with the scanner are two sets of four different size film holders. The film holders can be used to fit 35mm film, 35mm mounted slides,Medium Format Strip film and 4 x 5 inch film. Other sizes can be scanned by placing them directly on the glass of the scanner bed.

Included Software

Along with the standard install and Epson software, the V850 also comes with SilverFast SE Plus 8 and X-Rite i1 colour management software for added convenience and control over your scans.

High-Reflection Mirrorand Optical Coatings

The high-reflective mirror and anti-reflective optical coatings used in the scanner allows for precise scanning with greatly reduced optical distortion, further reducing the time spent in post-process.

USB Connectivity and Cable
